Filmmaker Natalia Kaniasty grew up in a rural town outside of Pittsburgh, PA. The daughter of Polish immigrants, she was raised with a foot in both cultures. As a first-generation American, she enjoys turning her lens on the themes emerging from the gaps and junctures between her "homes.” Her previous short films have screened at numerous festivals in the United States and internationally. Natalia holds an MFA in filmmaking from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. She currently splits her time between Los Angeles and St. Louis where she serves as an Assistant Professor of Film, Television and Video Production at Webster University.
